

Lynn Shepherd, age 89 of Knoxville, TN passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2015. She was born in Camp Creek in Greene County in 1925 to Fred and Lura Blake. She was an outstanding high school basketball player for Camp Creek and was on the All-County team in her senior year.
She was preceded in death in 1996 by her husband of 47 years Max Shepherd, who was a longtime Pharmacist in Greeneville. Three brothers, Curley (Ulys), Gene, and Hubert (Bud) Blake also preceded her in death. Lynn lived in Greeneville the majority of her life, leaving during WWII to work for the U. S. Army Air Forces Command at Wright Field in Dayton, OH and a second time in 2013 when she moved to Knoxville to be closer to her immediate family. Lynn was a member of the Greeneville Cumberland Presbyterian Church at the time of her death.
She is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Debbie Shepherd of Knoxville; granddaughter and husband, Lori and Bryan Moore; and great-granddaughter, Lucy Moore of Knoxville. Other survivors include niece: Shari Carter and husband, Claude, of Chuckey; nephew: Fred D. Blake and wife, Mary, of Greeneville; niece: Gina Susong and husband, Ricky, of Greeneville; niece: Becky Didier and husband, Nick, of Phoenix, Arizona; and nephew Alan Blake of Cincinnati, Ohio. Several great nieces and great nephews also survive her.
Friends and family are asked to meet at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home on Asheville Highway in Greeneville at 2:30 pm Sunday March 1 for a procession to the graveside service at Greene Lawn Memory Gardens.
Memorials may be made to the Greeneville Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 201 N. Main Street, Greeneville, TN 37745 for the Pipe Organ Fund or the Wood Ministry.
Pallbearers will be Fred Blake, Freddie Blake, Claude Carter, Ricky Susong, Scott Susong, and Jordan Susong.
