Ricky Jennings

Ricky Lee Jennings left his earth bound body behind in exchange for everlasting life on December 15, 2025. Ricky was preceded in death by (father) Pastor Paul “Ozie” Jennings, (mother) Zola Mae Gunter, and Sweet baby “Sam”.

He leaves behind wife of 27 years Tamra Miles Jennings with whom he shared the deepest affection and friendship with. With his wife they built a family that includes Beth and Michael Anderson, Ashley Jennings, Hannah Gilliam, and Bekah Jennings. Along with his grandchildren Tiavia, Sarina, Tripp, Zion Aderson and Emma Harris of whom he all loved.

Ricky was the first of his brothers and sisters to join the Lord. That includes Deborah and Junior Gregg (Parrottsville), Johnny and Rita Jennings (Parrottsville), George and Sandy Jennings (Chuckey), Tommy and Sandy Jennings (Greeneville), Melissa and David Ottinger (Greeneville), Gayla and Mike Wyatt (Kodak) and Shawn and Lyticha Jennings (Parrottsville).

Ricky was a hard working, God fearing, University of Tennessee fan. Most of his life he spent working in factories, fixing cars, and playing with his grandkids, some of which were grandkids by heart: Loki, Violet, Layla, Penelope, Caspian, Knox and Maddox. It never mattered who you were or what you needed if he had it, he had it to share. His kindness couldn’t be measured in words and devotion to family will remain unmatched. To say he will be missed in an understatement.

The family wants to mention special friends and family: Toni and Elizabeth Miles, Anna Anderson, Bodie and Taeylor Price, Amanda and Shane Brown, so many nieces and nephews, Amedisys, Dr. Oakley and his amazing nursing staff.

No service will be held and the family asks that donation be made to the family to help with cremation and urn costs.
