

Mr. Caldwell was of the Baptist tradition of faith. He was also a U. S. Army veteran.
His family states, "He loved blue grass music. He played the mandolin and guitar."
Survivors include his wife of 53 years: Rosie Caldwell; a son and daughter-in-law: Thomas and Shelia Caldwell, Afton; a grandson: Scott Caldwell and his wife, Angela of Afton; two great grandsons: Rollin Caldwell and Kendal Caldwell of Afton; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Bill, Herman and Rex Caldwell and a sister, Roxie Taylor.
The funeral service will be held at 7:00 pm Thursday, in the Kise Rose Hill Chapel. Rev. Jimmy Conkin will officiate. Interment will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday in the Cross Anchor Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Scott Caldwell, Michael French, Scott Gaddy, Justin Inscore, Scott Fisher, John Scott.
Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of Amedisys Homehealth and Hospice, Dr. Connie Holliday and staff.
The body is at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Thursday preceding the service. It is requested that family and friends meet at 9:00 am Friday at the funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery for the committal service. The Tennessee Honor Guard will conduct a military graveside service.
