Robert James Starnes

He was retired.

Mr. Starnes was a member of Mosheim Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include his son: Stevie Murrell Starnes; daughter-in-law: Lisa Starnes; granddaughter: Samantha Starnes of Morristown; step-granddaughter: Whitney Ferrell of Bulls Gap; and sisters: Ruth (Dan) McCulley of Baileyton, Juanita Hartman and Joann Collins, both of Greeneville.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mable Starnes; father, Walter Starnes; mother, Wanda Moore Starnes; brother, Johnny Starnes; sister, Brenda Starnes Ortiz; and beloved niece, Leah Bowman.

The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 pm Saturday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held 3 pm Sunday at Mosheim Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Marty Hicks officiating.

Interment will follow in Brown Springs Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Lanny Hicks, Ricky Bowman, Sammy Brown, David Bullington, Wesley Brown and Dale Blazer.

Family and friends are asked to meet at 2:30 pm Sunday at the church for the service.
