Ross H. Ricker

He was a former employee of Dave’s Oil Company and retired from Takoma Hospital engineering department after 25 years of service.

He was a member of the First Church of God where he was active and served in different capacities as long as his health permitted.

He was truly a dedicated family man who loved and cared for his family faithfully and he left many wonderful memories for his family to cherish.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Walker Ricker, daughter, Tina Walton (Randy), son, Jason Ricker (Mary), son-in-law, Dean Hall, grandchildren, Tara Bowers Huff (Steven), Chelsea Hall (Shannon Lowe), Dylan Hall, and a special young lady who was thought of as a granddaughter, Brittany Morgan, great-grandchildren, EllaKate Huff, Denver Huff and Levi Jennings, sisters, Bonnie Hensley and Wilma Babb, sisters-in-law, Joy Smith and Betty Walker, special family friend, Bridgett Morgan, and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was the son of the late Clarence and Pearl Ricker, and preceded in death by a daughter, Sherri Hall, son-in-law, Randy Bowers, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Clyde and Lillie Walker, brothers-in-law, Clyde Hensley, Bobby Babb, Durward Walker and Edward “Brownie” Smith.

The family will receive friends from 2:00- 4:00 and 6:00- 8:00 PM Wednesday, May 29, 2019 at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, May 30, 2019 in the Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel with the Rev. Nathan Leisure and Rev. Ralph Shipley officiating.

Interment will follow in the GreeneLawn Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Michael Collins, Randy Pierce, Mike Crum, J.J. Dunaway, Robert Crum and Connie G’Fellers.

Honorary pallbearers are Builders Sunday School Class of First Church of God, former co-workers of Takoma Hospital, Kinser Park Camping Buddies, Herbert Waddell, Dr. J.R. McKinney and the staff of Smokey Mountain Hospice, special friends and neighbors: Dennis and Diana Hensley, Darmon and Phyllis Carter, Kenny and Debbie Ray and Todd and Debra Russell.
