Roy Howard Carter Jr.

He retired from C&C Millwright as a construction worker and attended New Hope Baptist Church.

Survivros include his son: Scott Carter; two daughters: Stacy Carter and Tina Winkles; eight grandchildren: Charity Carter, Rebecca Carter, Ashley Carter, Tyler Winkles, Cheyenne Winkles, Kylie Winkles, Brandon Dwars, and Thomas Tesnear; brothers and sisters: Jo Lakhanpal, Jack Carter, Savannah Reed, Paula Buckner, Tommy Carter, Wiley Carter; two special nieces: Amanda Reed and Shirley Copple; several nieces and nephews; and special friends: Debbie Ripley and her three children, Donna Tesnear and Jerry and Frankie Darnell.

He was the son of the late Roy Howard Carter Sr. and Mary Ray Knight Carter and was preceded in death by two brothers: Johnny Carter and Ricky Carter.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. Tuesday at Victory Church of God preceding the funeral service at 4:00 p.m. at Victory with Rev. Jim Fillers officiating.

Interment will follow at Houston Memorial Cemetery.

His pallbearers will be Shane Waits, Frankie Darnell, Thomas Tesnear, Deon Carter, Cody Cansler, Roger Jennings, Jeff Carter, Brent Carter, and Bradley Carter.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses.
