Sandy was born on September 26, 1946, in Lafollett, TN and moved to Dayton, Ohio with her parents when she was about 10 years old. She grew up in New Lebanon, Ohio and graduated from Dixie High School in 1964.
After high school Sandy worked at many different jobs, being a waitress, working at General Motors for several years and one of her favorite positions was the Receptionist at Rodney Cobb Chevrolet Dealership in Eaton Ohio where she just about ran the place for over 10-12 years. She developed a friendship with everyone there, and they all loved her. Sandy had so much love and compassion in her heart that she was always trying to help and assist those in need around her. Soon she decided that Home Health Care would be a great opportunity to utilize her skills in assisting the elderly or others that needed extra help. Many of her clients grew to love her and it was a good fit for her affectionate personality. She had that gentle kindness and fun-loving personality that was infectious to everyone she met.
Sandy had two daughters that meant the world to her. She loved them unconditionally and would be right there beside them when life got tough. They have grown into beautiful women with many of their mothers' attributes. She was heartbroken when she lost her only son soon after childbirth, but Sandy had the determination and faith in her God that, with time, things would work out.
Sandy enjoyed family and friends and especially taking part in activities at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where she was a member. She joined the church early in her life and held many teaching and other positions for adults and children. She enjoyed gardening and cooking and was always willing to help fix meals for others when needed.
Before long, she became a grandma to 9 beautiful children in which she loved dearly and would try to spend as much time with them as she could. Sandy will be missed by so many friends and especially her family members. She was such a giving person and was always ready to have a good time with those she loved.
She is survived by her daughters, Tonya (Kevin) Seaton and Danielle Ulrich; grandchildren: Tyler (Traycie) Shuman, Caitlin Shuman, Jeremy Truesdale, Cailey McNinch, Conner McNinch, Cole McNinch, Logan Ulrich, Grant Ulrich, and Chandler Ulrich; great grandchildren: Macie Shuman and Wyatt Shuman; a brother, Wayne (Pam) Partin; a niece, Kim (Vance) Hardy; and a nephew, Jimmy Partin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde Partin and Virginia Partin; and infant son, Jeremy Wendell Shockey; and a son-in-law, John Ulrich.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm Monday with the service to follow at 2:00 pm.
