

Shirley was a long-standing member of the Greeneville Church of Christ.
Shirley was known most amongst her family, friends, church members, and community for being a very caring and loving woman who was eager to humble herself to the service of Christ and help others. Shirley was a devoted and loving wife to her husband, Lee. She was a loving and caring mother to her children, her grandchildren, and to her many nieces and nephews.
Her public works included Plus Mark and Phillips among other local businesses.
Shirley specialized in a natural ability to care for the elderly. Shirley held the position of providing home health care for her parents, for several elderly members of our community, and her church congregation.
Shirley was the daughter of the late Billy A. Ball and Clara E. (Woods) Ball of Greeneville.
Shirley is survived by her husband Ernest Lee Carmer. She is survived by her son William Edward (Eddie) Greene and three daughters, Stacey and Galum Pridemore, Jeannie Jeffers, and Amanda and Terry Loftin. She is survived by six grandchildren, Dustin Edward Greene, Victoria (Torie) Elizabeth and Tyler Sentelle, Kimberly Jeffers, Ryan Jeffers, and Emily Loftin. All of whom are from Greeneville. She is survived by 4 sisters, Mitzi Belle, Nancy Shelton, Betty Beggs, and Bernice Johnson. She is survived by 2 brothers, Ricky Ball and Bobby Ball. All of whom are from Greeneville.
She is preceded in death by her son Roger Douglas (Doug) Bowman of Greeneville. She is preceded in death by 2 sisters, Carolyn Ball and Janice Cox. She is preceded in death by 4 brothers, Billy Ball, Stanley Ball, Tracy Ball, and David Ball. All of whom were from Greeneville. She is preceded in death by 3 spouses, Eddie Greene, Steve Bowman, and Philip Devoti, all of whom were from Greeneville.
Pallbearers will be Ryan Jeffers, Tyler Sentelle, David Brooks, Aaron Dotson, Robert Ball, and Galum Pridemore.
Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, January 23, 2024, from 5pm-8pm at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
The graveside service will be Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at 2pm at GreeneLawn Memory Gardens/Cemetery. Family and Friends are asked to arrive at the funeral home by 1pm to go in procession to the cemetery.
