Sylvester Ray Myers

He was self-employed and retired in 2003.

Mr. Myers was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his daughter: Cindy Myers of Greeneville; son-in-law: Joe Styles of Newport; daughter and son-in-law: Tammy and Danny Bateman of Morristown; son and daughter-in-law: Terry and Wanza Myers of Midway; seven grandchildren: Brandy and Bruce Gregg, Tracy Conatser Jr., Brandon Myers, Megan Myers, Michael Rector, Nikki Rector, and Candy Turner; five great grandchildren; sister: Bertha Darnell; brother-in-law: Arville Wise; several nieces and nephews; and his four-legged best friend: Peanut.

He was preceded in death by his wife: Ruth Myers; parents: Pet and Flora Myers; sisters and brothers-in-law: Orebel and Johnny Darnell, Norma Jean and Lloyd Wattenbarger, and Zella Mae Wise; and a brother: Eugene Wills.

The family will receive friends from 4pm-8pm Tuesday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Jerry Johnson and Rev. Terry Franklin officiating.

Interment will follow in GreeneLawn Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Joe Styles, Phillip Mounts, Chuck Price, Brandon Myers, Chuck Coleman, and Danny Bateman.
