

He was a mechanic and a truck driver.
Mr. Yost was a member of Greeneville Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
Survivors include his wife: Debbie Harris Yost; two sons and a daughter-in-law: Gregg and Melisha Yost of Greenville, NC, Thomas Gerald Yost, Jr. of Tucson, AZ; two grandsons: Jordan and Jacob Yost of Greenville, NC; a brother and sister-in-law: Donald Paul and Grace Yost of West Frankfort, Illinois; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Pearl and Tom Arnold of Mohawk, Joyce and Darrell Stills of Greeneville; several nieces and nephews including three special nephews: Rodney Arnold of Greeneville, Thomas Johnson of Mosheim, Joshua Johnson, currently serving in the U. S. Marine Corp., stationed in San Diego, CA; and his special friends: Rev. Buster Shelton, Rev. Ken Coleman and congregation of Bell Branch Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Gambrills, MD, Curtis and Gerry Price of VA, and Jay and Vera Wright of Washington DC.
He was the son of the late Thomas Woodrow and Thelma Fern Yost and was preceded in death by a son, Randy Michael Yost; one sister, Twila June Moore; and his former wife, Jeannie Edelen.
The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Friday at the Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel with Rev. Buster Shelton officiating.
