

He was retired from Parker-Hannifin.
Mr. Casteel was of the Baptist faith.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and golf while his health permitted. He continued to be an avid sports fan throughout his life, especially baseball.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law: Kelly and Kandice Casteel; grandsons: Ty Casteel and Trey Casteel; mother: Ruby H. Malone Casteel; sisters and brother-in-law: Brenda and Johnny D. Jones, Sue Jones and Ann Socha; aunts: Betty Casteel Brown, Bertha Malone Turner, Nell Malone Carter, Lucille Malone Knight; nieces: Karen Jones and Jim Baskett, Shelly Smith and husband, Nathan, Rebecca Wright; great nieces and great nephews: Lauren Smith, Lindsey Smith, Jacob Wright; stepdaughter: Stacy Hale and husband, Travis; four step grandchildren: Jacob Hale, Ashley Hale, Brittany Hale and Katie Hale; several cousins and special friends.
He was the son of the late W. D. Casteel.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, 2012, in the Kiser-Rose Hill Chapel. Rev. Ronnie Baxter, Rev. Kevin Casteel, and Rev. David Dugger will officiate.
Interment will follow at Cross Anchor Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Kelly Casteel, Nathan Smith, Jim Baskett, Shane Turner, Jacob Wright, Mike Harmon, Mickey Starnes and Dayton Leach.
Honorary pallbearers will be Donna Leach, Jerry Harmon, Joe Harmon , Eddie Harmon, Roby Brown, Rodney Wilcox, Leighton Brown, and Kathy Russell.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
