Virginia "Jenny" Fillers

Virginia "Jenny" Fillers, age 79, of Apple Street, Greeneville, passed away at her home after a courageous five month battle with pancreatic and liver cancer. She was a loving and generous person to her family and neighbors and will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

She was a long time employee of the former George C. Moore Co. and was retired from Hurd Lock and Manufacturing.

She was survived by six sisters and their spouses: Marie and Buzz Collins, Leona and Harold Presley, Janice and Kenneth Dyer of Greeneville, Adeline Ervin, Maxine and Charles Rader of Mosheim, and Lana and Larry Miller of Powell; three brothers and their spouses: Willis and Phyllis Fillers of Greeneville, Britton and Ruby Fillers of Ossian, IN, and Bergin Fillers of Lockport, IL; very special nieces and their spouses: Jennifer and Tony King of Greeneville, Regina and Mike Idell of Afton, Darlene and Jimmy Fillers of Horse Creek, Rachael and Dave Craft of Johnson City, Amy and Todd Morgan of Knoxville, Cynthia and Brent King of Murfreesboro, Rebekah Dyer of Fairfax, VA, and Penny and Ben Metha of West Dundee, IL; very special nephews and their spouses: Ron and Falyn Fillers, Dino Fillers of Greeneville, Jimmy Presley of Limestone, Jackie Ervin, Charles and Donna Ervin, Jeff and Dawn Rader, Eddie and Stephanie Rader, Chris Rader of Mosheim, Richie Collins of Del Rio, Wesley and Caren Miller, Jonathan and Morgan Miller of Knoxville, David and Robin Fillers of Dandridge, Marc and Debbie Fillers of Ossian, IN, Rodney and Natasha Fillers of Fort Wayne, IN, and Kinney and Lisa Fillers of Lockport, IL; several great nieces and great nephews, including special great nieces: Kandy Morgan, Kali King, Aisha Collins, Chelsea Dawn Fillers, and Harper Morgan; several great great nieces and nephews, including a very special niece whom she loved dearly: Scilar Abbygail Marie Morgan, whom she called "Angel Face"; and special neighbor and friend, Fay Smith, of Apple Street, Greeneville.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Alvin and Ella Mae Fillers; two brothers: Paul Fillers and Raymond Fillers; a sister: Malinda Jewel Fillers; and a brother-in-law: Jack Erwin.

Active pallbearers will be Jimmy Presley, Eddie Rader, Jeff Rader, Jackie Ervin, Wesley Miller, Jonathan Miller, Mike Idell, Jimmy Fillers, and Dave Craft.

Honorary pallbearers will be her nieces and nephews.

At her request, there will be no formal visitation. A graveside service will be held at River Hill Cemetery on Wednesday at 3:00pm. At her request, the memorial will be led by her sister, Marie Collins. Family and friends are asked to meet at the funeral home at 2:30pm on Wednesday to go in procession to the cemetery for the committal service. The family will receive friends after the service at the home of Buzz and Maire Collins at 2350 Whirlwind Road, Greeneville, TN 37743.
