It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Carole Bates on October 20, 2023 at the age of 88.
Loving wife of the late Donald Price Bates for 61 years. Devoted mother to Stephanie Hayes (Adam), James Bates, and Peggy Cline (Late Paul).
Proud grandmother to Andrew Hayes (Rhiannon), Jocelyn Rosborough (Brent), Fiona Hayes (Sheldon), Andrea Cline (Kyle) and Emily Cline. Treasured GG to James and Georgia Rosborough.
Predeceased by her parents Howard and Mertene (Short) Lamb and by her brothers Frank (Dorothy) and Bob (Elva) Lamb. She will be missed by all her friends and extended family.
Resting at Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St. Guelph, where cremation has taken place. The family invites friends and relatives for a visitation on Sunday, November 5, 2023 at The Church of the Apostles (St. James & St. Matthias), 86 Glasgow St. N. Guelph at 2:00pm followed by a service beginning at 3pm. All are welcome to join for a reception at the church following the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Easter Seals, Sleeping Children Around the World, or The Primate's World Relief and Development Fund would be appreciated by the family.
