

Survived by his wife of 40 years, Vania, his children Eric (Carolyn) Zadro, Eve (Adam) Bell and seven grandchildren: Arthur, Margaret, Michael, Clare and Aurelia Zadro and Eleanor and Peter Bell. He will be missed by his sister Diane (Arthur Johnson), family Vern and Ornella Osborne, Melissa Binotto, and nieces and nephew Alex (Jessica), Natalie and Alaina Osborne.
David was born in Guelph to Augusto “Auggie” and Nancy (Ratcliffe) Zadro. David’s family was his greatest joy, he loved being around his wife, children and grandchildren. He would often remark how proud and happy his family made him. As a young boy David developed a love of sport, especially hockey, and he was a devoted supporter of the St. Louis Blues. David was an avid gardener and model train enthusiast. He passed many of his interests on to his children and grandchildren. David was loved deeply and will be missed dearly by many friends and family.
We would like to thank the Doctors and Nursing staff at Guelph General Hospital’s 4 East Unit. A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Shafir. We would also like to thank the staff of Hospice Wellington for their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers we ask for donations to be made to Hospice Wellington or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
Visitation to take place on Thursday June 13th, 2024, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Hart Chapel (1099 Gordon Street, Guelph) and on Friday, June 14 from 10-11 am. Funeral service will take place Friday, June 14th at 11:00 am in the Funeral Home Chapel. Cremation to follow.
