Married for 56 years to her cherished husband, Allan "Leverne," they were inseparable throughout their lives. They moved to Guelph in 1972. Cookie's love for cooking and baking brought warmth to many, and in her younger years, she was an avid gardener, finding joy in nurturing the earth. Hummingbirds held a special place in her heart, symbolizing her graceful and caring nature. A talented and prolific artist, Cookie’s passion for drawing resulted in many albums of beautiful artwork, each piece a reflection of her creativity and heart. She loved making people smile. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
A special thank you to the Guelph General Hospital ICU and Step Down Unit for all of their efforts, and support during these hard times.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Wednesday, January 15 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Gilbert MacIntyre & Son, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St. Guelph.
In lieu of flowers, the family of Dorothy kindly requests donations be made to plant a memorial tree in their honor. This tree will serve as a living tribute, offering a peaceful place to reflect on the cherished memories we hold dear. To donate please email [email protected].
