After marrying Lai Yin, they moved to Australia, then the US, and finally settled in Canada, where he completed his specialization in pathology. Eng Tik taught briefly, then chose to practice in community health, serving as pathologist and lab director, and finally Chief of Staff at Guelph General Hospital. He served over 30 years at GGH. After retiring, never one to keep idle, he continued to assist in surgery at GGH for many years.
A Funeral Mass will be held at the Basilica of Our Lady Immaculate, located at 28 Norfolk St. Guelph on January 29, 2026, at 10:30 am. A reception will follow in the church hall.
