Giulia was the beloved wife of the late Guido De Santis, with whom she shared a life full of love, laughter, and devotion. Together, they built a strong and caring family rooted in tradition and resilience
She was the cherished mother of Anita (Frank), Alfredo (Catherine), and the late Maurizio (2001).
Giulia will be remembered for her warmth, her strength of spirit, and the love she poured into everything she did - especially her family, who were the center of her world. Her home was always filled with the comforting aromas of her cooking, the sound of laughter, and the embrace of hospitality. Her wisdom, kindness, and generosity touched everyone who knew her.
She was a beloved Nonna to Emily (Andrew), Ida (Adrian), David (Collette), and Roberto (Laura), and a proud Great-Nonna to Tiana, Anthony, Michela, Isabella, Matteo, Alessa, Maximo, Jack, Ariana, Caleb, and Emma
Guilia was one of eight siblings, predeceased by Luigi (Lina), Antonietta (Guido), Giustino and survived by sister-in-law Velia, and her brothers Nicola (Maria), Victorio (Sofia), Alberto (Fernanda), and Leondino (Pina). She shared a deep bond with each of them, and their families remained close to her heart throughout her life.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, including many extended family members and dear friends, and fondly remembered as the heart of her family across generations.
Visitation will take place on Monday, June 23 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 24 at 10:30am at Basilica of Our Lady Immaculate, followed by interment at Marymount Cemetery.
