Survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Pat, and his children Dianne (John), Wendy (Steve), Gary (Sheryl) and Kevin (Laura). He will be sorely missed by his grandchildren Jordan, Juliana, Kyra, Maya, Travis, Miranda, Ronnie, Matt, Chelsea, Christina, Ryan, Andrea, Christopher, Rachel, Daniel, Kristen, Ashley, Mark, Delia, and their partners, and great grandchildren Logan, Gwen, Holden, Cole, Jaxon, Livia, and Ansley. Jim was a cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews, and a loyal friend to many. He was predeceased by his parents and four brothers. Jim served in the Royal Canadian Navy from 1951-1956, was in Police Services from 1956-1970, and retired in 1998 from Bank of Montreal as a fraud investigator. He was an active Mason, who enjoyed golf, darts, and bocce, and the mayhem of large family gatherings. Despite his love for wood working, Jim went to Heaven with all ten fingers. He will be greatly missed though his love and legacy will live on in his family and friends.
Friends will be received on Sunday, August 3 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm, Tuesday, August 5 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm and Wednesday, August 6 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, 1099 Gordon St. Guelph.
