Dear mother to Jennifer and her partner Lisa Goncalves of Cambridge, and James Vandivier and his wife Tammy of Guelph. Loved Nana of Auden Kemp, Jake and Wyatt Vandivier. Dear sister to Lynn Farrand, Dave Kent and the late Grant Kent.
She was married at 19 to Johnny Van. She loved her job and work friends at the U of G for over 30 years. She loved reading, birds, movies and walking the trails in Guelph. She was always up for adventures in the outdoors with family and friends.
She was a professional fisherwoman, mother, wife, Nana and lover of rock and roll with hearty libations. Her cooking and baking was top notch, always made with love; even the experiments. We loved how she laughed at herself, she passed down her love of laughter.
