Beloved wife and loving friend of Donald Richard Radford and dearest mother of Devon Richard Radford (Jennifer, nee Halk) of Cambridge, ON. Dear sister-in-law of Sharon (nee Radford) and George Kingston, and aunt of Darryl Kingston, Tonawanda NY. Predeceased by her parents, Elizabeth (Bette) Helen (nee Heppler) and Ralph Thomas Trouten of Hamilton, ON, as well as her grandchildren Declan Peter Radford and Jordan Micah Radford. Survived by her aunt Marion Trouten, predeceased by uncles and aunts, Earle Trouten, Donald Trouten (Grace, Elaine, Margaret), and George (Patricia) Heppler. Survived by many loving cousins and friends. Linda obtained her BSc in Zoology in 1976 and went on to do a Masters in Agriculture (1990). She retired from a 37-year career with the University of Guelph (Dept. of Animal & Poultry Science, now Animal Bioscience) in 2013. She was a long-time adherent of Calvary Baptist Church, Guelph, ON., and active at various times in several ministries, including the library for many years. Linda was a longtime supporter of Audience of One Christian Theatre Company as an actress, stage manager, backstage crew and writer. She was passionate about genealogy, music both vocal (Overtones, Ladies A Cappella chorus) and instrumental, an avid photographer, writer and poet. Linda, always a learner, loved to travel and go RV camping. She and her family covered a good part of Canada and the US by RV, plus Europe, the United Kingdom, New Zealand, Australia and St Martins.
Resting at Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St, Guelph, ON, where the family will receive friends on Friday October 17, 2025, from 2:00-4:00PM and 7:00-9:00PM, and on Saturday October 18, 2025, from 1:00-2:00PM. Service at Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel on Saturday October 18, 2025, at 2:00PM. Reception following service. Private interment to take place at a later date.
