Marie Elizabeth Ann Kelly

It is with deep sorrow we announce the peaceful passing of Marie Kelly on June 5, 2023 at Lapointe-Fisher at the age of 88.

Loving wife to the late Cecil Kelly of Fergus. Proud mother to Ann (Corky), Joe (late Earla), Marilyn, Mary, and Terry (Amanda). Predeceased by her children Brian (Linda), Cecil, Kathy (Bruce), and Frank (Debbie). Treasured grandmother to Christine, Theresa, Carrie, Diane, Lisa, Rob, Lori, Deborah, Dawn-Marie. Nickolas, Amy, Jeff, Melissa, Brittany, Katrina, Leeanne, Rebecca, Sam, Carter and great grandmother to many great grandchildren whom she cherished dearly. Cherished sister to Pat, Frank, Joe and Rose. Predeceased by- Parents Nick and Valera Fitzpatrick, Brother Pat, Brother Frank, Brother Joe, Sister Rose and beloved partner Patricia Fitzpatrick. Will be missed by all her friends and extended family.

Mom had an unbreakable love for life and family, in her younger years she enjoyed playing the piano, snowmobiling and travelling and camping. In her senior years she enjoyed family gatherings playing bingo, checkers and a good game of crokinole. She also loved country music, especially Conway Twitty. She always had a smile on her face and would make you smile with her witty personality and funny comments regardless of how she was feeling.

Special thanks to the doctors and staff at Lapointe Fisher Nursing home for all their assistance and patience in mom’s final years and struggles with dementia.

Resting at Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Hart Chapel, 1099 Gordon St., Guelph, where cremation has taken place. The family invites friends and relatives for a visitation on Friday, June 16, 2023 from 1:00pm-2:00pm with a Funeral Service beginning in the Chapel at 2:00pm.

As expressions of sympathy, the family would appreciate donations to the Alzheimer’s Association of Canada.
