Noe Pereira Soares

We are sad to announce the passing of our loving father/Avô, Noe Pereira Soares.

Noe peacefully passed away surrounded by family at Golden Years Nursing Home in Cambridge on Sunday, November 5th at the age of 93.

Noe was the beloved and dedicated husband to Gilda Soares for 63 years and father of Fatima (Tony) Mantell of Maryhill, Joe (Niki) Soares of Napanee, and David (Michele) Soares of Guelph.

Noe was loved by his six grandchildren, Anne (Jeff), Mike (Krista), Jasmine (Mason), Derek (Amy), Danielle and Jordan and five great grandchildren, Ceili, Wesley, Iris, Jack and Logan.

Dad was a wonderful man, husband, and father. He was born in Lomba Da Cruz, Azores on the beautiful Portuguese island of San Miguel. He was married to our mother, Gilda, for 63 years. Dad took pride in everything he did and he worked hard all of his life to provide for our family and our mother. In senior years, he loved to go for walks with Mom along the lake. Dad was indeed a family man with a big heart. We will miss Dad so much.

Special heartfelt thanks to the doctors, nurses, and PSWs at Golden Years Nursing Home for their loving care of our father.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Alzheimer's Society of Waterloo Wellington.

Resting at Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, 1099 Gordon St Guelph, ON, where the family will receive friends and relatives for a visitation on Friday November 10, 2023 from 5:00pm - 9:00pm. A Funeral service will be held in the Hart Chapel on Saturday, November 11, 2023 beginning at 11:30am immediately followed by a reception in the Hart Fellowship Lounge. Cremation to follow.
