Beloved sister of Cathy Dolderman (Jake), Henry Fountain (Sue), and sister-in-law to Loretta Fountain. Cherished aunt to Kevin and Jamie Lyle. Shirley was predeceased by her loving husband, Ronald Baumhour, and her brother, Arnold Peter Fountain.
She will be fondly remembered by her extended family and many dear friends, especially those at the co-op community who held a special place in her heart.
Shirley was deaf and, from a young age, taught her siblings sign language, an early reflection of her caring and determined spirit. Later in life, she was among the first in Guelph to be awarded a TTY machine, helping her stay connected with those she loved.
A creative soul, Shirley enjoyed crafting and found joy in the simple things, cats, butterflies, and the colour purple. She was known for her ever-present smile and her ability to bring happiness to everyone she met.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home - Hart Chapel. Private cremation services have taken place.
