It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Victoria “Vicki” Maybanks (Weaver) of Guelph, Ontario, who passed away unexpectedly yet peacefully in her sleep on April 17, 2026, in her 53rd year.
Vicki will forever be held in the hearts of those who loved her. She was the beloved wife and soulmate of Daryl Maybanks, the love of her life, with whom she shared a deep and unwavering bond. She was the cherished and devoted daughter of Beverly Weaver, whom she cared for with fierce love and protection. Vicki was also a proud and adoring grandmother to Damian, a role she embraced with joy, and she will forever remain his guardian angel.
She was predeceased by her father, Bob Weaver; her stepson, Zac Young; her great-aunt, Gloria Magno; and her beloved furbaby, Tilson, all of whom she held close in her heart.
Vicki’s legacy lives on through the many lives she touched. She will be dearly remembered by her lifelong school friends, her colleagues at P.H.A.C., where she dedicated 25 years of service, her T.O.P.S. ON 5384 family, and the countless friends she and Daryl met across North America and beyond through their shared passion for BBQ competitions as Q’n Canucks.
Vicki had a remarkable way of lighting up every room she entered. Her laughter was contagious, her wit unforgettable, and her creativity something she joyfully shared with everyone around her. She loved bringing people together—especially for her cherished game nights with family and friends. If you ever had the good fortune of being her teammate, particularly in music trivia, you likely found yourself on the winning side, guided by her quick mind and love of music.
Words can hardly capture the depth of this loss. To say she will be missed feels far too small for the space she leaves behind. Her love, her light, and the countless memories she created will live on in all who knew her.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home - Hart Chapel 1099 Gordon Street on Friday, May 1, 2026 from 4 – 7 pm. Cremation has taken place. As Expressions of sympathy, donations directed to the Guelph Humane Society would be appreciated by the family.
