

Who died peacefully, surrounded by family, at Georgian Bay General Hospital – Midland Site on July 15, 2025, in his 89th year.
Born on June 18, 1937, in Guelph, Ontario, Bill lived a full and meaningful life grounded in love, hard work, and passion for the outdoors. He was the beloved husband of the late Mary Kathleen (née Hume), with whom he shared a beautiful life and raised a loving family. Bill was predeceased by Mary in July 2013, and by their cherished daughter Kim in April 1985.
He leaves behind his devoted daughter Lynne (Claude Albert), and his beloved grandchildren Alexis (Lance Sabourin) and Andrew Reilly, who will miss him dearly. Bill was a proud great-grandfather to Aryanna, Owen, Braylen, Rayah, Kayden, and Keegan, each of whom brought him great joy.
Bill is also survived by his sister Sandra Henley, and his sister-in-law Rene Hopkins. He will be fondly remembered by Gary, Janet, Jamie, Cindy, Mike, Christopher, Steven, and Lisa, and by all whose lives he touched with his warmth and humour.
A true outdoorsman, Bill found joy in boating, hunting, snowmobiling, fishing, and golfing. He was also a talented wood carving artist, creating works that reflected his deep appreciation for nature. A proud Florida snowbird, Bill and Mary spent many happy winters in the sun. He was a long-time contractor in the Guelph area, known for his integrity, dedication, and craftsmanship.
Above all, Bill loved his family and friends, and was always happiest in their company. His legacy is one of love, resilience, and an enduring spirit of adventure.
Fiends and relatives are invited to visit Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral home – Hart Chapel (1099 Gordon St. Guelph) on Monday July 21, 2025 from 11:00 am – 1:00pm with a Memorial Service to follow in the Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 pm. Interment at Woodlawn Cemetery.
