William Dennis Lamont

Dennis passed away peacefully with family at his side after a courageous 22-day battle. A dedicated husband, father, grandfather, father-in-law, brother and friend. He will be forever loved and remembered.

Dennis was born with a congenital heart defect, tetralogy of fallot and has made medical history on more than one occasion. He was a heart warrior at Toronto Sick Kids having his first two heart surgeries there and then a patient at Toronto General Hospital for his adult care. His third heart surgery was November 2020 and Dennis was the first adult to have a successful heart surgery by trans catheter in Canada and possibly the world.

The care he received at Toronto General was second to none. It’s little wonder why they are Canada’s #1 hospital and #3 in the World. Exemplary care, compassion and dignity was the care Dennis received.

Lovingly remembered by his wife and best friend Elizabeth, daughter Sheena (Don), granddaughters Jayden (Noah), Eryn (Teo), sister Linda (Bill), brother Dave (Carolyn) and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Arrangements entrusted to Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, 1099 Gordon St, Guelph. Private cremation has taken place.
