She graduated from the Nova Scotia Teacher’s College, teaching school in Pictou Co. for many years. After she and Bob moved to Halifax, Anne was involved in many community organizations and charities. She loved golf and curling and was a long time member of Oakfield and the Gleneoe Curling Club. She played bridge and enjoyed ballroom dancing. She was well known for her beautiful handwork - sewing, crocheting, smocking and hard unger. She was a talented painter and enjoyed gardening.
Anne was a member of St. John’s United Church and was very involved in the Sunday School.
She loved family get-togethers, especially after the great-grandchildren came along. She was a loyal friend to all of us.
Surviving are her sons: Brian, R. Barrie (Linda); grandchildren Jason (Lisa Marie), Lisa Suzanne (Lee Hall), and adored great-grandchildren Ryan and Lucy Jardine, Connor, Liam and Sean Hall; and sister-in-law Dorothy Jardine.
She was predeceased by her husband Robert, son Robert Jr., her sister Beatrice (Dunn) and her brothers Hugh, Wilson, and Earl.
The family extends their thanks to staff at Sullivan’s Lane and Fleming Way for the wonderful care given to Anne, especially these last days.
