Arthur Joseph Arab

Passed away peacefully on his 94th birthday in his home which was his fondest wish. Son of the late Louis and Sadie Arab. Predeceased by his wife, Elizabeth “Libbie” (McTague) and his brother Edward Arab (for whom Edward Arab Avenue was named.)

He is survived by his sister, Anne Hanson, Montreal; nieces, Sandra Hunter, Alana Hanson Fava, Maurina Bokor, Louisa Belanger; nephew Christopher Hanson as well as great nieces and nephews.

Arthur was an army veteran who after the war worked as a checker on the waterfront for the rest of his working life. Arthur loved his Big Mac, French fries and root beer.

A very special thanks to Donna Rhyno who, because of her loving care, enabled him to stay in his home until his death. Thanks also to Dr. Arthur Trenholm and Sonia Dudka and her agency At Home Care, especially Joy White, for making Arthur’s last days comfortable. As per Arthur’s request, there will be no service or visitation. Arrangements have been entrusted to J. A.
