Barbara Mavis Marshall

MARSHALL, Barbara Mavis, Halifax, NS, passed away on July 21, 2019, at the age of 96 at the QEII Hospital, Halifax, NS. Barb was born in Port Bickerton, Guysborough Co., NS, on July 18, 1923, the daughter of Winona Corkum and stepdaughter of Forest Kaiser. She was a long time resident of Fairview and a former employee of Birks & Roza Brothers Jewellers & Kline's. Barb was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by daughters, Mary-Lou (Pierre) Brousseau, Susan (Greg) Pendlebury, Jane Marshall, and Barb (Jody Hubert) Marshall; son, Ted (Shelley) Marshall; 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Bud (T.E.) Marshall; brother, Graydon (Margaret) Kaiser; sister Erma (Wally) Bast. Barb lived her last years at Ivany Place, Bedford. Cremation has taken place & there will be a Celebration of Life Gathering from 2-4 pm with family & friends at Snow's Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Dr., Halifax, NS, on July 26, 2019. Private interment will take place at a later date at Hillside Cemetery, Port Bickerton, NS. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favourite charity.
