Born in Halifax, NS he was the son of the late Pearl Mae (Butler) and Bernard Walter Beaver.
Bernie’s first love was his grandchildren. His second love was music and being a member of the Atlantic Steel Guitar Club in Lower Sackville. He also loved fishing and researching the history of Halifax.
Bernie is survived by wife Linda M. Beaver (Appleby); sons Tim (Deb), Todd (Vicki), and Scott; brother Russell (Kaye); and several grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by sisters Lillian Watson and Velda Sampson; and brothers Robert, Harry, Clarence, Kenneth and Gerald.
Cremation has taken place. There will be no visitation by request.
A memorial service will be held at J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Dr., Halifax (902) 455-0531 on Tuesday, September 4th at 1:00pm, Rev. Carson J. Baxter officiating.
Burial will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
