of Halifax, Nova Scotia passed away July 12, 2013 in the Victoria General Hospital.
Born in Halifax Nova Scotia, he was the son of Rose Mayo and Clarence "Clarry" Billard
Bob was a 35 year veteran of the Canadian Coast Guard. He devoted his life to serving others through his work as a search and rescue specialist. He believed that sarcasm was a virtue and should be respected as such. He loved his children, extended family, going to Calgary and Vegas, football and planning Super Bowl parties. Most of all he loved "being right all the time" and laughing.
He is survived by his daughters Natalie and Valerie Billard,son in Law Robb Pattison, sisters Florence Symons, Margie Nowe and Rita Holman, brothers in law Greg Symons and Many Nowe, 1 grandchild Ryker Pattison and many nieces and nephews who all meant very much to him and also a special friend "O Fuzz"
Bob fought valiantly against renal cancer after being diagnosed in 2010. The world will feel a bit emptier and our hearts a bit heavier. He will be remembered as a man who shared in the happiness of those around them.
The celebration of his life will be held at J.A Snow Funeral Home 339 Lacewood Drive Halifax Nova Scotia, B3S 0E1(455-0531) on Friday, July 19 from 7-9pm.
