

Brant Wishart, 60 years old, died at the VG Hospital in Halifax October 11th, 2013. Brant was born in Bathurst, NB, son of Joyce and Everett Wishart. Brant was Director of Strategy and Sector Relations, Service Nova Scotia & Municipal Relations and had many wonderful colleagues and friends across all levels of government locally, provincially and nationally. Brant also enjoyed many years as an Adjunct Professor in the School of Planning at Dalhousie University. Brant’s students were inspired by his knowledge, expertise, humour and especially the donuts! He is survived by Gaye, his loving wife of 32 years, as well as Jessica and Alexandra (Ali) his treasured daughters. He loved his family circle including his sister Joanne (Paul Bonazza) and their children Sarah, Andrew and Jeffrey, and his sister Rhonda (John Cuthbertson) and their children Amy, Megan and Zoe. He was also well-loved by Gaye’s family, Jean, Father Con & Tim Mulvihill. Brant had many close friends who enjoyed his wonderful spirit and sense of humour. Many thanks to Drs. Frank Lo, David MacDonald and Derek Wilke and all the wonderful staff of the 8th floor, VG. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada, Rockingham United Church or the charity of your choosing.
