After a full and bountiful life, Carol passed away at the QE2 Health Sciences Centre on January 31, 2015; she was 81. Carol was the daughter of the late Alfred and Geraldine Cross of Halifax. She was predeceased by her husband Melbourne Donald (Don) Crockett and her twelve brothers and sisters. She is survived by her daughter Sandra and son-in law John Cascadden, son William (Bill) and daughter in-law Corinne, as well as, her two beautiful granddaughters Emma and Hannah Crockett. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews of the Price, Morrison, and Cross clans. Carol enjoyed being out in her vegetable gardens; she waited impatiently for spring to arrive so she could start planting and then dutifully tend her gardens throughout the summer. She loved dogs and lavished special care on her fury-kids, she always had treats in her pockets for them. She lived in Hatchet Lake for the last ten years; however, having been a part of a military family she had the opportunity to live in a number of foreign locales during her life. Carol also worked as a civilian dental assistant at CFB Stadacona, in Halifax; there she met Don, her husband to be. The family would like to extend special thanks for the care and kindness of the staff at the QE2 Emergency Department and the staff in Unit 8.4. No visitation by request. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the SPCA or the QE2 Foundation. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax.
