Carol has been a big inspiration since I met her almost 35 years ago.
I remember her smile, energy, and fantastic ability to find joy in everything.
Carol was adventurous, warm, and friendly. She spread optimism and attracted people like a magnet. 
She was a positive person who made the world a better place.
Carol loved her family, was understanding, sympathetic, and enjoyed life, opening her heart to new opportunities. 
She danced, traveled the world, baked, knitted, liked reading and hiking, and knew a lot about foods and wines.
There was no bad weather or boring times for her. Carol liked to use the word FABULOUS, and she was fabulous.
I remember our first meeting and how our friendship started.
We shared many great moments, had fun, and now I smile through tears when I think of her.
Carol left many heart-warming memories with me and taught me a few important things.
I think of her as a bright, kind, wise, and lovely woman who knew how to stay joyful in every circumstance.
It is hard to accept she passed away.
I will always treasure the moments spent with Carol.

I am so very sorry that Carol is no longer with us.   She was always a delight to be with and I have so many memories of our times at the Tower  going back many years .   She was definitely “ the glass is half full” type of person and we shared many laughs and conversations  not just about exercising but getting older, travel adventures and family stories.  It was Carols idea back in the early days to start going for coffee after class to Julian's in the Hydrastone for almond croissants .  I missed her every class after she moved to the Canada Games Center.   She was blessed to have such a caring place surrounded by her family for her last weeks.

Don and family.  We were shocked and saddened to read of Carol’s passing.  Our sincere condolences to you all.  You will have many, many fond memories to cherish, always remember the wonderful times that Carol enjoyed with her family.  We think back many years to large gatherings of extended families at meetings of the George W. Churchill Estate and how much you and Carol enjoyed participating.

Hello Don, Jocelyn and Jamie, I was so surprised and sad to read of Carol’s passing. I didn’t know. It had been so very long of course since I’d seen her. Remembering now the old old days, Don, when we frolicked at Springfield Lake! And in Clayton Park…so young! I especially remember Carol (being a nurse) and having a baby (Jocelyn!)  just a bit older than mine…how she helped coach me with those endless sleepless nights! Such a sweet friend. Take care of each other, now, and I wish you peace. 

Although I knew Carol was ill I am still processing her loss.  I met Carol when she was dating Donnie.  We had some great talks and am terribly saddened by her passing.

Heather and I were so sad to hear of Carol’s death. It seemed that you two were inseparable and I can’t imagine how tough it will be for you Don now that Carol is gone. I regret not calling as I knew Carol was not well. When things settle down I would like to see you Don.

My sincere condolences to Don and the family. I was one of her "gym 
buddies" at the Tower and I loved Carol's zest for life and sense of adventure. She was the queen of belly dancing and far surpassed everyone in the class. I treasure my time spent with Carol.

I am heartbroken to hear this news. Carol was a wonderful, cheerful and caring neighbour. We will miss her. She was the first person we met when we moved in 16 years ago. I especially, will miss her gardening and always told her I lived vicariously through hers since I'm not much of one, she seemed to have such a natural touch for it.  Our chats over and through the fence about kids, our Cape Breton roots, the neighbourhood and life are fond memories. Don I hope you will keep that tradition up too.  Deepest condolences to you, Jocelyn, James and the entire extended family and friends.

We have fond memories of our, oh so friendly, neighbour, Carol.
 Carol always seemed positive, happy and full of energy and enthusiasm. She was ever ready to stop and chat, perhaps about 'Truro days', or the 'goings on' on our street. She was so proud of her children and grandchildren, and Don, you and she always seemed to be together and happy. How you all will dearly miss her!

Don and family. How saddened I am to hear of Carols passing. Sue and I spoke of her and I was aware that Carol had moved into hospice.  Carol and her family moved to Truro and we lived on the same street as the girls  and I finished their schooling and they left home for nursing careers   I have crossed paths infrequently but thru regular visits and chats with Sue I kept up with your life events. It is with great sadness to lose my friend to cancer.  I met Carol for the first time at the VG School of Nursing (1966).  We bonded immediately.  We had gone our separate ways and met up again in 1992 at Saint Andrew's Recreation Centre. Belly dancing and Thai Chai  every week until the present time.  We laughed alot and shared our thoughts about marriage, our children, and grandchildren and state of affairs.  I will miss her dearly.  She was my best friend.
