Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Josephine (Barnstead) Holland.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne; son, James (Margaret); grandchildren, Gianna, Matthew, Vittoria and Bianca; sister, Shirley Chadwick (Thomas); nieces, Janet Fougere and Carol Ann Garland. Carol was predeceased by her brother, James and sisters, Muriel and Marion.
Despite her physical difficulties, her charm and tenacity won her lifelong friendships while living in Halifax, Ottawa, Vancouver, and Tucson, Arizona.
A private family service will be held following cremation.
