Carole Margaret Worrall

WORRALL, Carole Margaret — 75, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 17, 2010, as a result of a massive stroke suffered on April 13. Carole was the daughter of the late George and Elizabeth (Miller) Park and was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Carole worked for a printing company and the CN Rail in Edmonton and H.R. Doane and Company in Halifax. With the arrival of children she devoted herself to raising the family and managing the home. She was very active being a member of three bridge groups and was a treasurer of both of her bowling group and the Rockingham Heritage Society. She was also a member of the British Isles Club. Carole was a great mother and would do anything for her adored grandchildren often referring to them as treasures. Carole is survived by her husband of almost 44 years, Brian; children, Bruce (Joan), Fredericton; Keltie, Vancouver; Ian, Bedford; grandchildren, Rose, Alasdair and Eamon, Fredericton; many nieces and nephews. Carole and Brian traveled to many parts of the world, the last of which was to Antarctica and Argentina in January/February, 2010. Carole will not only be missed by her family but also by her many friends. Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. Thursday, April 22, in J. A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Dr. Funeral service will be held Friday, April 23, at 2 p.m. in Rockingham United Church, 12 Flamingo Dr., Rev. Paulette Phillips presiding. The family would like to express their thanks to many neighbours and friends both local and afar who have supported us through this difficult time. To Dr. David Tilley her long-time physician, and to the doctors and staff of Unit 8.1 at QEII Health Sciences Center who took care of Carole during her last few days and who also provided support and empathy at this time.
