Carolyn Jean Powell

She took her schooling in Bridgewater NS and after graduating continued her education at the Bridgewater Commercial School and graduated with a secretarial Diploma. She moved to Halifax where she was employed as a secretary, later married and had two sons.

She is survived by her loving husband Donald “Don” Bedford, and her loving son Michael Forsythe, Halifax; brother-in-law Hardy Powell and his wife Nancy of Bedford, sister-in-law Blanche Morash and her husband Brian of West Dover, NS, brother-in-law Lloyd Powell and his wife Audrey of Clarenville, NFLD, granddaughter, Emily Forsythe and two step grandchildren, Kyle and Melanie Foster, and their mother, and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her son Stephen Forsythe, her sister Joan Hoffer, Pennsylvania.

Carolyn loved the winters spent in Florida. She also loved to play bridge, and for many years, would play anywhere at any time.

Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9 pm on Friday, March 10 in J A Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Dr. Halifax. Funeral service at Anglican Parish of St. Martin's, Martin's River on Saturday, March 11 at 2pm. Burial will be in St. Martin's Cemetery.
