

Born in Halifax, he was the son of the late Robena Felix and Warren Slaunwhite.
Cecil worked as a driver for DND with 24 years of service and was a devoted member of the Catholic Church. Cecil was a person who loved to help others. He enjoyed hunting and fishing while spending time with his friends at the camp. He always enjoyed telling a good story with a twinkle in his eye and that impish grin of his.
Cecil was a loving husband to his wife Dianne for whom he gave great care during her years of illness until her passing.
He was a loving and doting father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family.
Cecil is survived by his son Trevor (Josephine), grandchildren Blake, Carter and Kristen (Gordie). As well as several cousins and extended family members.
He was predeceased by his parents, Robena Felix and Warren Slaunwhite and his wife Dianne Slaunwhite (Pottie).
Cecil will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday Dec 12 at 12:15pm in Saint Benedict Church, 45 Radcliffe Drive, Halifax with a reception to follow.
