I just heard of Cindy's death.  We went to SMU together and had lots of laughs.  In fact, she got me a date for the Graduation Ball!!!  And we did have a ball...she will be missed.  Jocelyn (Howell) Nixon

Cynthia was a trusted advisor to us when we were living in Nova Scotia and later took over as my mother's advisor.  She was paricularly helpful and supportive to my Mum, Margaret Kerr, who too was a cancer survivor for many years.  Later she helped yself and my sisters deal with my mother's estate. Marj and Doane, Mary, Helen, and Jeff.  I was greatly saddened to hear about Bear.  She was part of some of my fondest memories -- your family.  You were all very good to me so knowing you have lost her hurts a lot.  I am sorry for your pain at this time. To Cynthia's husband and parents and family,
We first met Cynthia twenty years ago when we needed financial advice; she subsequently became our financial advisor ten years ago.
We always enjoyed her sense of humour - we would go in to talk about money and end up laughing about all sorts of things.
Although we did not know her outside of her work, she talked so fondly of all of you. She loved when her sister and nieces arrived from Dubai in the summer. Her husband's efforts to keep the Volvo on the road led to much advice as to how to keep our Volvo on the road. And she loved the Miata. 
We are so sorry Mr. and Mrs. Hallett that you have lost a daughter far too soon. Roger, we cannot imagine the pain of your loss. And the rest of the family, a huge wonderful personality and caring person is missing. 
But we hope her spirit shines on.

She was graciously answering questions from friends at the end of mass and I was impressed with her composure and kindness . Dear Roger, Uncle Doane, Aunt Marj, and my 'big' cousins - JEF, Helen and Mary - I have too many memories of my biggest cousin to fit in this memory book. She was, after all, one of my first baby-sitters, one of my mum's closest friends (and best advisors :-)) and one of the people I most looked up to when I was growing up. In our adult years, she never ceased in her generosity towards me, often surprising me with unexpected acts of kindness (like letting me stay in her condo one summer when I was home from the north and, more recently, opening the home she and Roger shared so my kids and I could stay with my mum during a "March Break" visit). I am very grateful to have seen her this summer and will cherish a memory of her joining a large gathering of cousins and kids at the beach one day. Although her energy was waning, she was full of smiles and even laughter, as she engaged in conversation and watched the kids run and play. I will miss her very much. Love and prayers, Cassie

Just wanted to express how cherished Cindy (Bear or Sinful) has always been by all of the Napiers. We loved her very much and will miss her even more. We shared many of the good times and challenges over the years. From basketball, swimming & sailing in our youth....to golf and dinner parties in later years. Most cherished was our Christmas gifts to each other. Time spent together preparing & hosting dinners with Cindy & Roger, Corinne & Jack and Anna & Bill usually well after the traditional holiday season had ended. We always got a kick out of hosting Christmas dinners in February & April. It made the festive season a little longer for us all. You are all in our hearts and prayers.

Auntie Bear will be fondly remembered by her nieces, Lily and Bel, and her nephew JD. They spent every summer of their lives at the cottage in Seabright where they were adored and entertained by their Auntie Bear who always came with a smile and with the ingredients to make fabulous hors d'oevres, corn to shuck or lobsters to chase around the deck. We will miss her terribly, but the memories are ours forever.
