

We the family of David Marsh wish to inform of his passing on July 6, 2024. David was a loving husband father and grandfather. David is the son of Alphonse Marsh and Elizabeth (Smith) Marsh of Reserve Mines. Both parents are deceased followed by brothers Martin, Fonce and three brothers in infancy and his first wife Lynda.
David is survived by his loving wife Patricia; brother Allan (Gail) and his two children Nancy (Craig) and Nicole (Jason) grand children Oliva and Gage, Step sons Howie, Mike and Tony, and step grand children Connor, Madeline, Mary, Charlotte Samantha and Anthony and great- great children, Jaxon, Aria and Teagan.
David worked his entire working life in the service of Canada. Beginning his career as a graduate of the Coast Guard College (1970) serving in the fleet, as an inspector with Transport Canada, as a Project Officer with the Coast Guard, as a Chief Engineer with DFO, as an instructor at the Coast Guard College, as Engineering Superintendent for both the Coast Guard (Central Region) and as Engineering Superintendent for DFO fleet, as Chief of Marine Inspection for DSS and completing his career as the Superintendent Vessel Support at the Maritimes Region of the Coast Guard. Upon retirement this completed 39 years of service.
David always enjoyed a good game of golf especially with Patricia and dancing at the CPO mess. Playing and caring for his little dog, Casey was one of David's favourite past times. Traveling with Patricia brought great joy in his life. Other enjoyments in his life were spending time with his daughters and the grand children and Friday lunches at the Romeo Club. He also spent a little time collecting coins.
A celebration of David’s life will be held on Saturday July 13 from 1-4pm in the Chief and PO Mess Bridge at Stadacona.
