It is with shattered hearts that we announce the passing of David (Davey) Schnare, 46, on Sept. 19th, 2023 after an incredibly hard fought 9 year battle with cancer. He loved his life and everyone in it more than he could ever say and went to the ends of the earth to try to find a way to stay with us all forever, just as we had planned. He was the very best that there ever was and we are just so blessed and grateful for all the time we had with him but it just wasn’t enough. He wanted so much more from this life than he had time to do but worked so hard to accomplish so much in the time that he had. We are so proud of the man, husband, father, and son that he was despite all he was burdened with.
He met his wife 22 years ago and after sharing a New Year’s kiss they were together ever since. They built a life together over the years and in 2011 got married and had children. He loved his two boys, Fisher and Meyer, more than life itself and he made sure they knew it every single day. He taught them many things but the most important thing he could have ever taught them he did so unknowingly just by living his life with such strength and determination to never give up. They will carry lots of things from their Dad throughout their life, like their beautiful golf swings, but the most important will be his strength. He had many passions in life but golf was a passion like no other. He got such joy out of learning every part of the game, mechanics of the swing, and teaching the boys everything he knew and now they share that very passion. He lit up whenever they would talk about their games and watching them play brought him so much joy.
His pride and joy outside of his family was his successful business, Alloy Concepts that he built from the ground up in 2006 and worked at until his very last days. He was so proud of all that he was able to accomplish, with the help and support of many, and had big plans for its future that we will do our very best to see its success through.
His relationship with both his parents and his sister was something to be admired. He loved them all so much and wanted the very best for them. His childhood spent with them in Canaan was so special and fun filled with his sister that we spend most of the summer there now with our own children to make all new memories together and recreate old ones.
Rest peacefully sweet Davey, you will be missed and loved forever.
