

Dennis was born on October 25, 1942, in Edmonton Alberta. He grew up in many small towns in Alberta and finally settled in Edmonton his last year of high school.
Dennis participated in many service organizations, including Kinsmen, minor Hockey, and various charities to which he lent his accounting expertise to. Upon moving to Halifax, he became a member of the board of directors of his condo building, Tiara Gardens 1. He was the treasurer and then president for many years.
Dennis worked at Deloitte Edmonton office his entire career and became partner in 1973. Dennis loved to travel and did so right up until the time it became physically impossible for him to do so. Dennis also loved sports and had seasons tickets to the Edmonton Oilers and when he moved to Halifax upon his retirement, he bought season tickets to the Halifax Mooseheads. Dennis was involved in his children’s sporting activities and was able to also enjoy watching the next generation playing their sports.
He was predeceased by his parents Homer Stanley and Frances Melvina (Brisette) Holliday, his sister Brenda Letendre, and daughter in law Laural Leigh. Dennis is survived by his loving wife of 24 years Cathy (Boner) Holliday, his children, Dennis, Doug (Loni Robertson) and Dave. He is also survived by six grandchildren David Holliday (Sandi), Dani Schole (Paul), Darcy Holliday (Alex), Alex Perreault (Jamie Trout), Morgan and Ella Robertson. He is also survived by great grandchildren Damon, Jace, Alec, Addison, Violet, Georgie, and Jools. He will also be forever missed by his best friend, Marg Flynn (Lew DeForest).
Dennis lived a life of service and charity and was a generous and caring person to all he met.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 8 at 2 PM Saint Agnes Catholic Church, 6903 Mumford Rd Father Patrick Salah presiding. The service will be live streamed. See funeral home website for further details regarding the link to access the livestream. A reception will follow the service in the church hall.
