Born in Wolfville, Doris was the daughter of Henry and Addie Eaton. She attended local schools and Acadia University, graduating in 1963. After marrying Glen she started her decades long career teaching Home Economics and Family Studies in Ontario and Halifax County, interspersed with three years of travel.
Doris leaves her cherished husband of 62 years, Glen; sister, Glenda Stoliker, Ottawa; a niece and nephew.
She loved good food and wine; good books and puzzles; interesting travel and gardening. She was a terrific cook. In retirement, winters at Cocoa Beach only enhanced her love of the sight and sound of the ocean.
At her request cremation has taken place. There will be no services, her ashes will be scattered at sea.
