Dumitra "Tanta" Vlasceanu

Early morning on August 28, 2023, Tanta (Dumitra) Vlasceanu passed peacefully away in her sleep after a long battle with cancer. Tanta was 72. She had an astonishing positive mind and she fought cancer every single day.

Tanta is survived by her husband Aurel, their daughters Bianca (Victor), Diana (Dorin), four grandchildren Ana-Maria, Vlad, Andrea, Elysia, and her sister Petra (Dumitru).

Tanta was loved by family and friends and known as kind, smart, beautiful, strong, and elegant. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren, have long phone conversations with friends, gardening, reading, baking amazing pastries, cross stitching, walking, and sharing positive vibes.

The family gives special thanks to the Palliative Care staff at Victoria General in Halifax for making her last days painless and filled with love and kindness.

Visitation will be held Friday, September 1st, 2023, from 6 - 8 p.m. and religious ceremony event will be on Saturday, September 2nd, 2023, at 2 p.m. followed by Reception all in J A Snow Funeral home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax.
