

Edith Price passed away at the Halifax Infirmary on Saturday October 20th, at the age of 91. She was the daughter of Judith Shilston (Galibardi) and Albert Doddrell.
She graduated as a Registered Nurse in 1945 in which year she also married her husband Dr. Bernard Price.
Edith moved from England to Kentville, Nova Scotia in 1967 with her husband, where he practiced family medicine and as an anesthesiologist at the Blandchard-Fraser Memorial Hospital.
Edith travelled with her husband, who worked for the British Colonial Service from 1950 until 1967, while he served in Sierra Leone, Nigeria and Seychelles.
She was a member of Kingsway Assembly in Kentville until 2000 and served for many years as a Sunday School teacher and Women’s Ministries President. In 2000 she and her husband moved to Halifax to live closer to their daughter. In Halifax she was a member of Faith Tabernacle and Alive Christian Church.
She is survived by her daughter Lorna Irene Winstanley Wanzel (nee Price), her son in law John Grant Wanzel; one brother Edward Doddrell in England; by Jean Paul Wanzel and Jean Mark Wanzel and their wives Christine (Duchesne), Julie (Ward) and her grand-daughter Emma Judith Skeete (nee Wanzel), Emma’s husband Isaac Skeete and four great grand-sons James Grant Wanzel, Jacob Piers Wanzel, Jason William Wanzel, Malachi Lemuel Skeete and great-grand-daughter Jordan Ann Wanzel.
She was predeceased by her husband Dr. Piers Bernard Winstanley Price, her sisters Alice Bell and Lydia Butcher both in England. She has many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She will be remembered as a devoted mother, grand-mother and great-grand-mother and fondly by her many family members and friends, as an extremely loving and generous person.
Visitation will be held on Saturday November 3rd from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax. Funeral service will be held held on Sunday November 4th at 10:30 am at Mosaic Ministries (formerly Alive Christian Church) at 27 Willett Street in Fairview. Rev.
