Edythe Ann Bell

BELL, Edythe Anne “Pat” (Martin) – Halifax, passed away peacefully on July 15, 2011 at Melville Lodge. Born in Halifax, Pat was the eldest daughter of Ernest and Edna (McDowall) Martin. She spent many of her earlier working years within hospital administration in Toronto. Upon her return to Halifax, she became Private Secretary with the Oland family enterprises. Pat’s passions in life were her treasured feline friends, antique hunting, and traveling with Mike. Pat is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, James K. “Mike” Bell; sisters Joan (LeBlond) North Vancouver, B.C.; Barbara (Scott) Windsor, N.S.; several nieces and nephews. Pat’s family will continue to remember the loving care of a special friend, Mina Inacio, and the compassion of staff at Melville Lodge. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. The funeral service will be held at J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Dr., Halifax, N.S. on Tuesday, July 19th at 10:30 a.m. Burial will take place at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Halifax, N.S.
