Elise M. Amirault

Amirault, Elise Marie “Elsie” – 1922 – 2013. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She passed away peacefully at the QEII on March 12, 2013. Elsie was born in Saulnierville, NS to Eloi Amirault and Emilie Thimot.

She is survived by her daughters, Susan (Cecil) Holt, Sandra (Joe) Amirault, Geraldine (Craig) Miles and son-in-law Edward Holt, 6 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and was know to many others as Mom or Nan Amirault.

She was predeceased by her husband Edward, daughter Carol Holt and long time best friend Delores Holt. Elise is the last surviving member of her family. A huge thank you to the staff on 8.3 for the kindness and care you gave our mom with special thanks to Dr. David Amirault. The staff at Ivany House Schooner Landing were like family to her. Thank you so much for all the loving care and support you gave her and us over the past 2 years. She was so well loved and will be missed by many. Those who wish may make donations to the Arthritis Association.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 17th, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax, B3S0E1 (902) 455-0531. Memorial service to follow at J.A. Snow Funeral Home on Monday, March 18th, at 10:00 a.m.
