Elizabeth Ann Keating

Keating, Elizabeth Ann – of Halifax passed away quietly with family by her side at the Halifax Infirmary on March 29, 2012 at age 62. Liz was born in Liverpool NS, the daughter of Arthur and Mary (Betty) Killam. She graduated from Liverpool Regional High School in 1967 and Victoria School of Nursing in 1971. She worked as a Registered Nurse for over 30 years at the Victoria General Hospital (6A-Thoracic Surgery). Liz is survived by her husband Jim, daughter Erin, son Michael, mother Betty, sisters Shaune MacLeod, Randi Dickie and Pat van Beek, and brothers Bill and Greg Killam (all of Liverpool). Predeceased by her father, Arthur. Liz will be remembered with great fondness and love by her entire family. She was selfless, generous, caring and always a comfort and source of support to those around her. Liz was a devoted wife and proud and loving mother who deeply cherished both of her children. She also shared a special bond with her spaniel Toby who was a companion and friend. Liz was always happiest in the sun or on the beach, especially at Beach Meadows. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 3, 2-4 and 6-8pm in J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Dr. Halifax NS (455-0531) where a memorial service will be held Wednesday, April 4 at 2pm.
