Of Halifax, passed away April 26, 2023 in the VG Site, QEII. Born in Little Harbour, Halifax Co., she was the eldest daughter of Joseph and Angela McKay (Cox). Besides her partner and best friend, LeRoy Roy, she is survived by her sisters, Anne-marie Zwicker (Peter), Betty Freeman (Steve), Mary Stewart (Kevin); brothers, Michael McKay (Margie), Patrick McKay (Connie); sisters-in-law, Lalia Kook and Claire McKay; brother-in-law, Joe Cooper; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Marian Scriven and Stella Cooper; brothers, Valentine McKay and Gabriel McKay.
There will be no visitation. Private family burial will be held.
