

MOSHER, George Edward “Sam”- 94, of Halifax, passed away June 9, 2010 at the Halifax Infirmary, QEII Health Sciences Centre. Born in Halifax, Sam was the son of the late Samuel and Laura Mosher. Sam retired from the HMC Dockyard, with 30 plus years of service, and was a veteran of WWII in the Royal Canadian Navy. He was an avid fisherman, and will be sadly missed by all who knew him, and also by his constant companion, his dog “Cutie”.
Sam is survived by his wife Mary Jane Matheson, daughter Mabel Bryden (George), Halifax, son George William (Cathy) Mosher, Bridgewater, 2 step-sons Barry and Blane, 2 step-daughters Trena and Tracey, and 5 Grandchildren. He is predeceased by his first wife Vera Mosher.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 & 6-8pm Friday, June 11th at J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax where the funeral service will be held at 1pm on Saturday, June 12th. Rev. Heather Fraser officiating. Burial will take place in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
